2016 Goal Setting

Every year I like to take a moment to reflect on the past year.  To think about all of the lessons I learned and celebrate all of my goals that were met and the blessings that came into my life. navy-sequin-dress

2015: Last Year was one of my very best years. I literally don’t think I could have dreamed it all up even if I tried. I met the man of my dreams, my little girl started kindergarten and is loving it, I took a leap of faith and started pursuing blogging full time {and even got to go to my first New York Fashion Week}, and to top it off I got engaged to this hunk!! It’s hard to put into words how amazing the year and just how much it taught me! I remember starting last year feeling so confused. Confused about the direction of my life and frankly questioning a lot of things. But something funny happened. After being asked to pick a verse of the year for Naptime Diaries shop, I picked Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” I didn’t really know why I picked that particular verse at the time, but felt certain it was it. Little did I know that God would be showing me exactly what that verse meant all year. I decided to trust God and let Him work. And work he did!  Now don’t get me wrong, there were PLENTY of hard days and growing pains along the way, but to step back and see everything God did this year is truly remarkable! Sure, I know not every year will be like this, but it’s so sweet to have been able to see this side of God this year! Sometimes I think we all need to be reminded of how anything is possible and how God loves to redeem! navy-sequin-dress

2016: Last year was incredible & this year…especially with a wedding…will undoubtedly be another big one! Looking into this year and starting to think about what goals I want to set, one word comes to mind…INTENTIONAL. I want to be intentional as I transition into marriage and the three of us becoming a new family, and I want to be intentional with you all!! What I have loved about this space here is that it has become not only a creative outlet for me, but a place to come and just be myself. I hope that you feel the same way. My dream is that this blog is a place for you to come and be encouraged & inspired. Whether its from an outfit post or a little heart to heart girl talk post! So a change you might see this year, is I might have fewer posts (as in 1-3 blog posts a week), but I want to make each post better and more intentional as to what inspires you all!
But the best way for me to do that and make this place a home this year is for me to hear from you guys! I would LOVE to get some feedback from you all about what kind of posts you’d like to see here. More outfit posts? I thought about starting a home decor section since I’ll be decorating my first home this year? Or maybe you’d like to see more posts about life/parenting/marriage?
